A Tour For Foodies

Meagan is a Canadian Master Chocolatier, who has trained under 3 (yes 3!) world-class celeb chefs.

She’ll take you on an artisan chocolate and pastry tasting adventure of Granville Island.

A journey to 6 different artisanal vendors; learning about local chocolate production and tasting your way through the flavours of the Pacific Northwest.

**This is a walking tour, and takes 2.5hours to complete.

What You’ll Do…

Here’s a teaser from the artisanal vendors you’ll visit on this bespoke tour.

MACARONS: Take a sneak peak at how French macarons are really made, and witness 40+ mouth-watering flavours made right on the Island.

BEAN-TO-BAR: Discover a young local chocolate brand, and taste their INCREDIBLE single origin bean-to-bar chocolate.

CRAFT COCKTAIL: Savour a handcrafted cocktail at a Distillery that champions organic grain to glass spirit-making: yup alcohol and chocolate go great together!

BONBONS: Indulge in mouth-watering flavour in bonbons created by Belgian chocolatier Wim Tas.

DELISH DONUTS: Embrace your inner kid again, skip the (very long) queue and enjoy an artisanal donut from Vancouver’s one and only mom and pop donut shop (since 1979).

SURPRISE: Finally, the 6th vendor on our tour is a surprise (all we can say is that you’ll feel like Charlie getting the Golden Ticket to The Chocolate Factory).

A lovely flavorful journey that will delight your senses! Meagan guided us through a few hidden gems tucked away from the Granville Island market main area.
She was very knowledgeable, personable and thoughtful. We got to meet passionate artisans who love what they do and it shows in the quality of their products. From scrumptious macarons to outstanding craft chocolates to a full organic and locally sourced distillery, this experience was a blast for our taste buds. Meagan managed to communicate her genuine enthusiasm for these local business owners who were very welcoming, friendly and informative and all had a fascinating story. I highly recommend this tour 🙂 !

Great tour! I know a bit about chocolate making (bean to bar) and was still impressed! So much more than just a chocolate tour, more like an artisan food tour. Meagan is obviously very knowledgeable, but oh so personal too! Loved it, even my husband who doesn’t care for sweets had a great time.

This tour is amazing! Meagan really knows her stuff about every nook and cranny of the island, and will take you to some absolute gems you might not have known about yet. Each of the places we visited had something wonderful to offer, the samples were all fantastic, and I learned so much interesting information not only about the island itself but about the creative process that goes into producing the wonderful treats you’ll get to sample. Each of the vendors we visited were inviting and informative. This is an excellent tour, Meagan is an excellent host, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone in Vancouver whether you’re a visitor or a local.

Had a great time today on my food tour with Meagan, I didn’t know what to expect since it was the first food tour I’ve ever done and I’m so happy I chose this one! I’ve been to Granville island many times but Meagan was able to show me a few new hidden gems that I will be back to! I was blown away by all the artisans and how they spoke with enthusiasm and passion about their products, I could listen to Vincent from Kasama talk about the chocolate processes all day.

My husband and I had a great time with Meagan and Vin. We got to know them a little bit and heard a little presentation about each place we visited. I enjoyed learning about the process of making bean to bar chocolate, and Meagan is a chef so she took us to only the best places! We left satisfied and with some recommendations of where to eat while we’re here. The only thing I would change would be the time of the tour, as it was over lunch. But hey, who doesn’t want to eat chocolate for lunch every once in a while?!😜
